The Coffee

GEORGE is a balanced medium roast created to mark the Semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026.

The blend combines specialty coffees from Brazil’s Cerrado region and Mexico’s Chiapas highlands to produce a smooth, full-bodied cup designed for daily drinking.

Roasted in small batches and shipped fresh, GEORGE reflects the standards of specialty-grade sourcing and careful roasting.

Tasting Notes

Molasses — deep sweetness and body
Toasted almond — warm, nutty foundation
Hints of mocha — subtle chocolate undertones
Heirloom citrus — bright finish

Medium roast · full body · balanced acidity

What Makes GEORGE Specialty-Grade Coffee?

Specialty-grade coffee is coffee that scores 80 points or higher on the Specialty Coffee Association’s 100-point evaluation scale.

Coffees are evaluated through blind sensory testing by trained graders who assess aroma, flavor, body, acidity, and defects.

Coffees meeting this standard represent only a small portion of global coffee production.

GEORGE meets the specialty-grade classification.

Roasted in the United States

Coffee beans must be grown in equatorial climates, but roasting is the manufacturing step that transforms raw coffee beans into the finished beverage product.

GEORGE is roasted in the United States in small batches and shipped shortly after roasting.

Independent Laboratory Testing

GEORGE is independently tested by an accredited third-party laboratory for contaminants including:

• mycotoxins
• heavy metals
• mold contamination

Testing is conducted on the finished roasted coffee, verifying the purity of the product.

The Blend

GEORGE combines specialty-grade coffees from two respected growing regions.

Brazil — Cerrado Region
Altitude: 900–1400 meters
Processing: pulped natural
Contribution: body and chocolate depth

Mexico — Chiapas Highlands
Altitude: 1300–1750 meters
Processing: washed
Contribution: brightness and structure

Together they create a balanced medium roast suitable for daily drinking.

Coffee in Early America

Coffee became widely enjoyed in American households during the late eighteenth century.

Following the Boston Tea Party of 1773, many colonists shifted away from British tea imports and coffee became a popular alternative.

GEORGE was introduced in 2026 to mark the Semiquincentennial — America’s 250th anniversary.

Limited to the Semiquincentennial

GEORGE is available during the year of America’s 250th anniversary.

Once the Semiquincentennial year concludes, GEORGE will no longer be produced.
